What is the scheme?

Discover more info on the scheme

As part of a National Campaign, part of a large EU-funded project aimed at improving the conservation of water in the Maltese Islands, a study in water-related behaviour through various sectors of the Maltese society is being activated.

Through this scheme a number of public offices, homes and farms will undertake a free assessment for water efficiency, followed by a free installation of suggested improvements and monitoring for a period of two years.

Participating properties will serve as showcases of the application of water conservation technologies and their positive impact in reducing the water consumption and thus the general water demand. The scheme aims to achieve the water demand management objectives of the National Water Conservation Campaign; specifically, the overall measurable reduction in the annual water demand at these sites.
